Billiards is an application written with a CASIO pocket viewer PV-S450 that allows to play the classical cannon billiards. You have to hit the cue ball (the one marked with a little point in its centre) in order to make it collide with the other two balls (a cannon). It is a two players game. You keep playing till a cannon is missed. Then the cue ball and thus the player turn changes. You can use the PV as the second player whenever you want. Using the Billiards application: To hit a ball: Drag inside the game area (up from the line above the buttons) to make the cue appear (do not release the pen until you have set the correct direction with the cue ball). The power of the shot is set depending on the length of the line you're drawing when dragging inside the game area. If you go out of this area then the cue is erased and you have to start again. To shot just take out the pen from the screen. New: Starts a new game Drw: Continuously draws the paths of the balls as they can go too fast to be seen. Clu: Shows the theoretical path the ball would follow if there were no round-off errors. Very useful at the beginning. -,+: Decreases or increases the power of the hit, as some time it happens that the screen is not enough to set the wanted cue length. *: Make the PV play. When you press this button the PV computes the theoretical paths and tries to perform a cannon. Be patient as it can take a couple of minutes if no cannon is found. to exit: Press ESC when the game is iddle. If you have any question or suggestion just contact the author: ramon.mas@uib.es
